Caesar

Bred by Eamon McKiernan. Sired by Bishophill General and dam Corlismore Regina was by Creagh Ricky. Caesar was Supreme Breed Champion October Roscommon 1989. He was purchased by Progressive Genetics for IR£2,600. But unfortunately his fertility standard was not adequate for AI and we purchased him for natural service. Caser grew into a very powerful bull and in 4 years won 23 breed championships and 7 Interbreed  Championships at summer’s shows. He bred very stylish cattle and there are currently 2 daughters and 4 grand daughters in production in the herd sired by Caesar.

royal

Woodview Royal was probably the turning point for the herd. He brought increased volume, power and extra weight to the herd. He was purchased in at the March 1999 sale at Roscommon for IR£2,800 from Marshall Abbott. He had tremendous bone, large dept of loin and broad back end. He carried all this power very smooth and firm. His colour hair was straight and very dark in colour. The most important trait with Royal was his consistency in passing on these traits to his progeny. His sons reached €3,550 at sales in Roscommon. There are currently 10 daughters in production in the herd. They are among our best producers. Woodview Royal was full brother to Woodview Niall who was Irish National Champion Tullamore 1999. Royal was stock sire from 1999 to 2007.
