Udel 1 Sydney Gem

    Purchased from David Carroll as a two year old heifer. Sired by the world famous Doonbiddie Hustler and dam by Koanui Blueprint. This is the largest volume cow in the herd and we believe our best breeding cow. Two sons to date have averaged €2,500 at sales. Both sold at 14 months old. 3 Daughters are now in production in the herd. One daughter Corlismorepoll Sydney Gem was National Hereford Champion 2007.

    This Sydney daughter was a winner of 5 breed championships at summer shows in 2005. At 3 ½ years old she was the Irish National Hereford Champion and her heifer calf at foot, Corlismorepoll 1 Mona was the Reserve National Yearling Heifer of the year 2007.

    Purchased from David Carroll as a two year old heifer. Sired by the world famous Doonbiddie Hustler and dam by BT Butler. This is the tallest cow in the herd. Her first calf CorlismorePoll 1 Gem by was National Female Champion at 12 months old, Tullamore 2003. She repeated this feat in 2004 when she was again National female Champion at Tullamore 2004.

Drisheen Honest Millet was purchased from the late Mr John Sheehy as yearling in 1992. She had just been a prize-winner in the RDS and Limerick shows. This heifer’s dam was a maternal sister to Drisheen Honest Moss, Supreme Breed Champion at the Society show and sale in the RDS in 1984. He was sold to Danish purchasers for IR£4,200. This female has two daughters in production in the herd and 4 grand daughters. These females have exceptional bone, length and smoothness and have produced many summer show prize-winners, including 2 Supreme Breed Champions at Society sales in Roscommon.

This line has been in the herd for the last 4 decades and has produced many prize-winners thought the years. There are 4 females in production from this line, two sired by Woodview Royal and two sired by Corlismore Pompeii. The line has produced 3 Supreme Champions at Society sales in Roscommon since 1981.  One of these Woodview Royal daughters, Corlismore Ursla produced the highest priced bull in Roscommon October 2006. Corlismore Swampy was sold for €6,200 to Ballyaville Herd. Corlismore Honey also from this line produced a Woodview Royal son who the highest priced bull for Mrs McCall sold for €5,100 in Roscommon October 2005.

This line was introduced in recent years as an embryo from the world famous Remitall Polled herd in Canada. Corlismorepoll 1 Sharon Esta (Imp) is sired by Remitall Patriot 13P who was sold for the record price of $200,000 for a half share and her dam is Remitall Sharon Esta 84E was Canadian Junior Hereford Champion 1998. Remitall Sharon Esta 84E is in the top 10 females in Canada for eye muscle score.
